Cao Bang

Cao Bang, located in Vietnam’s northeastern corner near the Chinese border, is a hidden gem that stands apart from more popular spots like the Ha Giang Loop or Sapa.
Over five days with this travel package, you’ll explore the serene Angel Eye Mountain, visit Vietnam's largest waterfall, and trek through remote ethnic minority villages.
Unlike typical Vietnam family tours that focus on beaches or resorts, Cao Bang’s winding mountain roads and quiet villages provide a peaceful, off-the-beaten-path experience.

Offering a fresh perspective on Vietnam’s natural beauty, Cao Bang is an excellent option for a Vietnam school holiday trip or a family-friendly escape away from the usual tourist crowds.

It is part of a 36 lake system, each of which is several hundred meters apart and all laying in the same valley. With 2 km long and 500-meter wide Thang Hen is the largest lake of them all.
The mountains and jungle around the lake completes the impressive scenery. Unlike most other lakes in Vietnam that become brown in color during rainy season, Thang Hen lake stays blue all year round since it is fed by clear pure water from a cave located above the lake.

• The next place is Unique Angle Eye Mountain.

• You will take a short trek (15 minutes) if the car could not access the location. Angel Eye Mountain is in a beautiful valley surrounded by green pastures, giving it a unique, poetic aura. It is also called “Thủng Mountain” because it has a hole 50 meters in diameter right through its center.

• Get in the car, you will transfer hotel, check-in and have free time on your own

The falls occur on the Quay Son River, a beautiful jade-blue body of water flowing from China through a pastoral landscape of rice fields and bamboo groves surrounded by limestone pinnacles.
• You have a chance to get on the bamboo boat to get close enough to the waterfall so you can feel the spray on your face
• Get back to the resort for lunch

In the afternoon
• At noon time, you will visit Nguom Ngao Cave. You will be amazed at strangely shaped stalactites. Nguom Ngao is home to multiple limestone chambers, floors, stairs, and corridors in various sizes, along with stalactites and stalagmites in diverse shapes such as a coral reef, a ship, a waterfall, an overturned lotus flower, and a terraced field. All give this cave magnificent and fantastic beauty.

• Nearby is Khuoi Ky ancient stone village. The road leading to the village is paved with cobblestone. The village is currently home to 16 Tay ethnic households and 14 stone-built houses on stilts, which were constructed in the 16th century. The houses in the village are surrounded by stone fences, which have existed for hundreds of years.. The custom of building stone houses comes from the Tay people's belief in the worshipping of the Stone God. They believe that the Stone God has strong natural powers that can protect them and bless them with a peaceful life.

• The nest site is Phong Nam valley and Dam Thuy suspension bridge in Quay son River. This river, with rice fields and high jungle mountains on either side of the valley is giving the area a feeling like you are driving through a fairy tail.
